Sally the Snail - July Amigurumi Pattern of the Month

Supplies: F or G Hook, Green, Color For Snail Shell, Tapestry Needle, 10mm Safety Eyes

Head:
 Round 1: 6SC in Magic Circle.
Round 2: 2SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 3: 1SC in next ST, 2SC in next ST. (18)
Round 4: 1SC in each ST around. (18)
Round 5: 1SC in next 2ST, 2SC in next ST. (24)
Round 6: SC in each ST around. (24)
Round 7: SC in next ST, SC2TOG. (16)
Round 8: SC in next ST, SC2TOG. (11) *Attach safety eyes.*
Round 9: SC2TOG around until hole is around 7ST. Stuff head.

Body:
Round 1: 3SC in Magic Circle.
Round 2: 2SC in each ST. (6)
Round 3: 2SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 4 - 20: 1SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 21: SC1, SC2TOG. (8) DO NOT STUFF. Fasten off.
Flatten the body and sew it to the head, pinning the body to the head will help keep the body in place.

SHELL (Done with E Hook):
Round 1: 3SC in Magic Circle.
Round 2: 2SC in each ST around. (6)
Round 3: 2SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 4: SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 5: In BLO SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 6: 1SC, 2SC in next ST, around. (18)
Round 7: 1SC, 2SC in next ST, around. (27)
Round 8: SC in each ST around. (27)
Round 9: SC in next 15ST, 2SC in next 3ST, SC in remaining ST. (30)
Round 10: SC2TOG around. (15)
Round 11: SC around. (15) Stuff, fasten off.
Sew shell to body and either leave the tail down or sew it up to the shell.

Antenna (E Hook, make 2):

CH 7, SC in first ST, SLPST across.
Fasten off and sew to head.

  4. trying this pattern. I think if i get small enough hooks, maybe i can make this into a Christmas ornament for my mom, to represent her "little snuggle buggles," my newest grandson. :D Altair was born just before Christmas, so we needed to see his personality, and he's a wittle snuggle buggle if ever there was one! :D
