Pony Amigurumi Doll - March 2012

Materials:

W.W. Yarn and E Hook, pipe cleaners (4)

Notes:

MC = Magic Circle, SC2TOG = Sing Crochet Two Together (Decreasing using SC), BLO = Back Loop Only,  all rows worked in rounds, unless otherwise noted in instructions.

Head:

1. 8SC in MC.
2. 2SC in each ST around (16).
3. SC1, 2SC in next ST around (24).
4. SC around (24)
5. Repeat 4.
6. Repeat 4.
7. Repeat 4.
8. SC1, SC2TOG (16).
9. SC around. (16)  If you are adding safety eyes, now is the time to place them.
10. SC2TOG x8 (8).  Start Stuffing.
11. SC around (8).  DO NOT SEW HOLE UP.

Nose:

1. 8SC in MC.  Fasten off and sew to nose hole on head.

Body:

1. 8SC in MC.
2. 2SC in each ST around (16).
3. SC1, 2SC in each ST around (24).
4. SC around (24)
5. SC around (24)
6. SC around (24)
7. SC around (24)
8. SC around (24)
9. SC4, SC2TOG around (20).
10. SC around (20)
11. SC around (20)
12. SC around (20)
13. SC3, SC2TOG around (16).
14. (SC2, 2SC in next ST) x5 and SC in last ST (21).
15. SC around (21).
16. Repeat 15.
17. SC2, SC2TOG, SC in last ST.
18. SC2TOG x 8 (should be around 8ST)
19. SC2TOG x4 (should be around 4ST), fasten off and sew hole shut.

Neck:

1. 6SC in MC.
2. 2SC in each ST around (12).
3. In BLO, SC around (12).
4. SC around (12).  Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing.

Legs (Make Four):

1. 8SC in MC
2. In BLO sc around.

3-10.     SC around.   Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.  Stuff legs with a folded up pipe cleaner.  

Ears (Make Two):

1. CH3, sc in 2^nd CH from hook and in next, CH1, turn (2).
2. 2SC in each ST across, CH1, turn (4).
3. 2SC in 1^st ST, SC2, 2SC in next ST (6) fasten off, leave a tail for sewing, hide end from the beginning.

Hair:   You can attach the hair any way you like, I just sewed mine on with thread to the head and behind of the doll.   Or you can attach hair much like you would attach fringe to a scarf.
