Swap I Received

Got a good start on my doily, hope my swap partner Kairi likes it.  it's a vintage pattern I haven't done yet.  I usually go for newer patterns; however, some recent project listings on Ravelry convinced me to do the pattern.

Motivation

Wow, it's been almsot a month already, and I have all but one swap done and finished. I just need some tape and to get that last swap done (the kidswap).

I've just had no motivation to get crocheting done when I have a blanket that I want to finish for my grandma, before she can't see anymore. Oh and there is mine too. I've had help and then I have recycled some 8" squares from swaps and added four inches to them. It all looks good to me. I just hope she'll like it.

I don't want to give her a piece of crap that I am not proud of.

Are any of you lurkers into Ravelry? If so, come and join my group:

One day I was thinking about how knitters have their "Knit, stitch, and bitch." things, so I just came up with this off the top of my head. Cute huh? LOL. Suuuure.

I wanted to put an image in my blog entry, and that was the only one I could think of to use. I would show my finished items, but I will when my swap partner has them.

My Afghan

Here are some comleted panels for the one afghan I am making for myself. Sorry, this is not much of a post, just wanted to work on something for me. It's a change of pace and I swear I am trying to avoid signing up for so many swaps this month. Oh that reminds me, I signed up for a dishcloth round robin. I've become obsessed with making those dishcloths! The sad part is that they are so pretty, I don't want to use them. Here is a recent one I crocheted.

Oh what the heck, I have some other things to share. I joined a two month "Food With Faces" Amigurumi swap and decided on designing my own. So I created a "Burger Bite".

Ever try making paper beads? I made some for a swap and I am pleased with how they turned out. It's hard to find good paper, I think cutting magazines up works best. Oh and don't use rubber cement.
The bracelet I made for Cyndi.
A pair of stitch markers.
