  1. When you get to Round 1 fold up panel of fabric, with the ridges on the outside. Using the inside loops, slip stitch down the side of the purse.
  2. Slip stitch into the first stitch under the first SC on the undone side of the purse. CH1,SC, and then SC down to Round 1 of the FLAP. Add one extra slipstitch to the end of the row.
  3. Slip stitch across the bottom of the bag, one slipstitch per row.
  4. Slip stitch into corner of opening of bag. Slip stitch around the lip and back of the bag, and join to starting stitch. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
  5. Attach button to middle of bag, where the hole is on the flap.

STRAP:

  1. Cut three strands of cotton yarn in 34” strips, one in CB and two in CA.
  2. Insert crochet hook into corner of the bag, holding the end of the strands of yarn, yarn over, and pull loop up through corner. Yarn over and pull entire strand of yarn through the loop to secure the strap to the bag. This will make a nice knot to keep your strap from coming loose. I left the ends hanging loose for a nice tassel look.
  3. Very loosely braid the three strands, leaving a couple inches to attach the other end to the other side of the bag.
  4. Insert hook (go from the inside of the bag to the outside) and pull a loop up through the stitch. Pull the loose ends through that loop and pull tight to secure.
